NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki has initiated a media pitch across verticals, except digital, to enrol a new media agency after the contract with IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative ends.

The multi-agency pitch is likely to take place in Delhi, with all top media agencies expected to participate, according to media buying agencies.

IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative is the incumbent agency and had handled the account of country’s largest passenger car makers since 2003. The agency was handling the print media buying for Maruti since 1999.

The account size of Maruti is said to be close to Rs 500 crore, according to industry experts.

Emails sent to both Maruti Suzuki and IPG Mediabrands remained unanswered.

Last year Maruti appointed Dentsu Creative Impact, a brand of the Dentsu Aegis Network, along with its digital partner agency Isobar India to handle the digital mandate.
