"This collaboration is rooted in our philosophy of making positive social contributions as a corporate citizen. Our 300 dealers will act as outlets for Being Human apparel and merchandise," Suzuki Motorcycles Executive Vice-President Atul Gupta told PTI here last evening.
The tie-up will be in three phases starting with apparel and then moving to biking accessories like helmets. Revenues earned from this will be directed towards causes like education of the underprivileged, cataract operations, heart surgeries and bone marrow donation camps, Gupta said.
The company is looking at sales of about 40,000 scooters (special edition) as part of the initiative and it is looking at a turnover of Rs 3 crore from the merchandise sales, Gupta said.
Suzuki currently has two scooters, three bikes and five superbikes in its portfolio and its business is growing at about 20 per cent, Gupta said.
Sales grew 9.04 per cent at 41,734 units in September compared to 38,271 units a year ago.
"Suzuki's networks will help us increase the reach of the Foundation and provide education and healthcare for the under privileged," Khan said.
