'SMBs to adopt streaming TV for marketing'

According to a FICCI-EY report, the digital ad spend by SMBs in India is expected to double from around '18,000 crore in 2022 to '36,000 crore in 5 years. In FY23, Amazon India grew ad revenue by 29% to '5,380 crore.

Amazon Ads, the advertising service of e-commerce giant Amazon, has said small and medium businesses (SMBs) are expected to use streaming TV at scale in 2024 to achieve their marketing objectives.

Apart from the evolution of streaming TV, the platform has identified several trends that will shape the global advertising industry in 2024. These include the application of generative AI at scale and the anticipated deprecation of third-party cookies by Google.

According to Amazon Ads, generative AI is expected to revolutionise creative development, enabling advertisers to produce brand-themed imagery at scale, enhancing their creative capabilities, and streamlining the process.
