Madison inks JV to launch Trevor Beattie’s BMB in India
Madison Media on Tuesday announced that it had inked 50:50 joint venture to launch UK-based Beattie McGuinness Bungay (BMB) in India.
Madison World’s current advertising business through its agency mc2 will be merged into this JV. BMB now will have offices in the UK, US and India. The board of the new entity will include BMB partners—Trevor Beattie and Andrew McGuinness—and Madison World chairman and managing director Sam Balsara, as well as his daughter, Lara Balsara.
Trevor Beattie, Founding Partner at BMB, said: “We can’t wait to get started. There’s always been a strong cultural bond between the ad communities of India and the UK.”
Commenting on the deal, Mr Balsara said: “With this joint venture, we have filled an important gap in Madison World. We are now present across all communication functions.”
BMB was set up in 2005 by three prominent advertising professionals from the UK —Trevor Beattie, Andrew McGuinness and Bil Bungay.
The agency’s clients include McCain, Carling, ING, Samsung, Ikea and Selfridges. Madison’s clients’ list has big names such as Bharti Airtel, Cadbury, General Motors, Godrej, TVS, Marico, McDonald’s, Tata Tea and P&G.
