Kinetic appoints Suresh Balakrishna as CEO India, South Asia

MUMBAI: Out-of-home advertising agency Kinetic, which is part of the WPP group, has appointed Suresh Balakrishna as Chief Executive Officer for India, the Middle East and South Asia.

Balakrishna will be joining Kinetic in January 2016, and will be reporting to Kinetic Worldwide Global Chief Executive Officer Mauricio Sabogal, the company said in a statement.

He joins Kinetic from IPG Mediabrands' Initiative and Brand Programming Network (BPN).

Balakrishna was integral in bringing BPN to India and also making a big impact in growing the Mediabrand's Out of Home business across the country, the statement said.

"I'm very happy to welcome Suresh to the Kinetic team. He is a true media visionary who is very well regarded throughout India, and I am confident that he will be a real asset in helping us lead Kinetic into the future," Sabogal said.
