Emami to rope in Hrithik Roshan to endorse Zandu Balm

NEW DELHI: Kolkata-based consumer goods firm Emami Ltd is close to signing up Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as the new brand ambassador for its pain relief brand Zandu Balm.

Emami that had recently roped in 'Munni' Malaika Arora Khan, has approached Hrithik to endorse Zandu and is expected to ink the deal soon, according to sources.

When contacted, Emami Director Harsh Agarwal, declined to confirm the development and said,"We can not comment."

Other popular names that are currently cheering for the product include cricketers Virender Sehwag, Amit Mishra, Dinesh Karthik and film celebrities like Malaika Arora, Junior NTR and Suriya.

Zandu balm is currently a Rs 190 crore brand for Emami, that does an annual turnover of Rs 1,100 crore.

On the other hand Hrithik is at present seen endorsing Hero Honda bikes and 'Hide n Seek' biscuits.

The term of the actor's contract with Emami and endorsement fee are not known yet.

On the silver screen, Hrithik was last seen in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
