Emami ropes in Bipasha Basu for BoroPlus brand

KOLKATA: Emami Limited has roped in actor Bipasha Basu as brand ambassador for its BoroPlus brand. The company will initially start with its new BoroPlus range of face wash.

The BoroPlus brand already boasts of two more brand ambassadors, Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. BoroPlus Antiseptic Cream is backed by the combined star power of Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, while Kareena also endorses BoroPlus Advanced Moisturizing Lotion.

Emami Ltd director Priti A Sureka said Emami has already been associated with Bipasha Basu for its Vasocare brand. “And now with Bipasha joining the BoroPlus brand, it will give a big boost to the brand image,” she said.

Emami’s Boroplus portfolio is worth Rs 400 crore, comprising of three brands -- BoroPlus Antiseptic Cream, Boroplus Advanced Moisturizing Lotion and BoroPlus Prickly Heat Powder. BoroPlus is India’s largest selling antiseptic cream with 74% market share and is also the highest selling antiseptic cream in Ukraine, Russia and Nepal. The product has grown at a healthy CAGR of 12% in last three year.
