CII for self-regulation to check misleading advertisements
The CII National Committee on marketing on Monday released a whitepaper on 'self-regulation in advertising'.
The paper identifies key concerns regarding misleading ads and takes into account concerns raised by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
The paper recommends mandatory membership of ASCI, expanding the coverage of ASCI's code to digital and social media and co-regulation between ASCI and DCA.
