NEW DELHI: Beverage and snacks maker PepsiCo on Friday named five new ambassadors for its flagship snacks brand – Kurkure, along with a new campaign. The new faces of Kurkure include actors Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kapoor, Farida Jalal, Boman Irani, Ramyakrishnan and Shivansh.

PepsiCo marketing director – foods, Vidur Vyas said the move was aimed at strengthening the position of its snack brand. He said Kurkure was a leading brand in the snacks category but declined comment on its market share.

Juhi Chawla, associated with the brand for close to a decade, does not feature in the new advertising. Vyas said the actress would ‘continue to be associated with Kurkure’, but did not divulge details.

The campaign, which starts mid-December, will be supported by radio activation and digital engagement, PepsiCo said.

Besides Kurkure, PepsiCo’s snacks brands include Lays potato chips, Lehar namkeens, Cheetos and baked snacks Aliva.
