ASICS signs tennis players Yuki Bhambri, Karman Kaur Thandi as brand ambassadors

MUMBAI: Sports footwear and apparel brand ASICS has signed tennis players Yuki Bhambri and Karman Kaur Thandi as its brand ambassadors. The deal will see players wearing and promoting ASICS footwear, apparel, and accessories in their upcoming competitions.

Bhambri will be seen competing and representing India in Wimbledon 2016, London, while Thandi will be representing India in the US Open as well as Wimbledon 2016.

Rajat Khurana, director at ASICS India, said, “In a very short span of time ASICS has been recognised as a true sport performance brand in the Indian Market. The brand ambassadors for ASICS had to be someone who is performance oriented.”

“ASICS has a strong pedigree in Tennis footwear and apparel and this year we strategically want to focus on tennis, training and running categories,” he added.

ASICS currently has seven standalone stores across Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune. The brand also retails from e-commerce channels in the country.
