VinFast VF e34 electric SUV spotted in India. Here's what we know about it
VinFast, an EV maker, has started building an integrated EV facility in India, particularly in Tamil Nadu. A test mule of its electric SUV, the VF e34, has been spotted on Indian roads.
As per VinFast's website, the mid-size SUV measures 4,300 X 1,768 X 1,615 mm with a wheelbase of 2,611,0 (mm) and 180 (mm) ground clearance and offers trunk capacity of 290 Liters.
It offers 110 kW of max power and can sprint from 0-100 in nine seconds. As per the company, the car comes with fast charging option and can be charged from 10 to 70 per cent in just 27 minutes. It claims to offer a range of 318.6km. It comes in seven different colours.
VinFast might begin with two to three e-SUV models from its existing portfolio, ET had reported last year. This would include a compact SUV crossover followed by a full-size sedan and more models subsequently.
Earlier, reports claimed that the company may bring the e34 to India as an imported model. The subsequent e-SUVs including VF e-36, VF6 and VF7 are expected be assembled locally in the initial phase before the local production of a few of them begins.
