VinFast expands India lineup with VF MPV 7: Price, specs, availability

Vietnamese EV maker VinFast on Wednesday launched its premium seven-seater electric MPV, the VinFast VF MPV 7, in India at an introductory price of Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The launch marks the company’s entry into a new segment as it looks to expand its presence in the Indian market. “With the VF MPV 7, we are entering a new segment and expanding our commitment to India,” VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh said.

The company said it plans to offer multiple product options to cater to varied mobility needs in the country. It is also scaling up its retail footprint, targeting 75 showrooms by 2026, up from around 50 currently, and aims to have 230 workshops by the end of this year.

The VF MPV 7, designed for family and group travel, delivers a peak power output of 150 kW and offers an ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a single charge.

The model joins the VF 6 and VF 7 in VinFast’s India lineup. All vehicles are locally assembled at the company’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, as it expands beyond metros into smaller cities and towns.
