TotalEnergies to Make $444 million Investment in JV with Adani Green

The JV company will house a 1,150 mw portfolio, which will comprise a mix of operational and under-execution solar assets with a blend of both merchant-based and power purchase agreement-based projects, said a company statement.

Mumbai: Adani Green Energy on Monday said its board has approved definitive agreements for a further $444 million investment from TotalEnergies to form a joint venture with the company.

It was not clear if Adani Green would also be making a similar investment.

The JV company will house a 1,150 mw portfolio, which will comprise a mix of operational and under-execution solar assets with a blend of both merchant-based and power purchase agreement-based projects, said a company statement.


TotalEnergies through its affiliate entities holds approximately 19.75% shareholding in Adani Green.

In September 2023, Adani Green and TotalEnergies agreed to form a JV to house a 1,050 mw green portfolio, where Total was to invest $300 million in the deal.

Adani Green's scrip ended at ₹1,945.20, up 5.69% on the BSE, on Monday.
