Mumbai: Tesla is scaling its charging and service infrastructure in India as it looks to deepen its presence beyond the initial markets it entered less than a year ago.
The company currently operates five Supercharger stations, with locations selected around customer lifestyle patterns. Its most recent addition is a Supercharger at Nexus Seawoods in Navi Mumbai.
The next phase will add Supercharger corridors on key highways connecting Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, alongside destination charging infrastructure within these cities. Home charging installation is currently enabled across 28 states.
"Charging is a very important part of the ecosystem that we are building here," said Sharad Agarwal, country head - India at Tesla. "In the coming months, you will see that we will connect the major cities in this country with our Supercharger and charging network."
