Design cues revealed in new teaser
The latest visuals also offer a closer look at the production-spec Sierra EV. While its overall silhouette remains faithful to the ICE version, the electric variant introduces several EV-specific design changes.At the front, the traditional grille has been replaced by a body-coloured closed panel stretching across the fascia. A connected LED DRL strip sits above the main headlamp units, while vertically stacked LED fog lamps are also visible.
At the rear, the SUV features a full-width LED light bar, rugged bumper cladding, and a silver skid plate, reinforcing its SUV stance.
One of the key highlights from the teaser is Tata’s Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) technology. The dual-motor AWD setup is expected to be offered on higher trims, while lower variants are likely to feature a single-motor configuration.
A look into interior features
Inside, the Sierra EV is expected to be positioned among Tata Motors’ most premium electric offerings. Base variants may get a dual-screen layout, while higher trims could feature a triple-screen setup similar to the ICE Sierra.Expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV is also likely to offer connected car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos support.
Battery options and market positioning
The Sierra EV is expected to slot between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s electric lineup. It is likely to be offered with multiple battery packs, including 55 kWh and 65 kWh options, while top variants may borrow the 75 kWh unit from the Harrier EV.Tata may also extend its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model to the Sierra EV, allowing customers to purchase the vehicle separately from the battery and opt for a subscription-based plan.
Rivals in the segment
