Tata Curvv EV interior to have Nexon.ev like features. Check details

Tata Motors is set to launch the Curvv EV in India on August 7. Meanwhile, the automaker has revealed the interior of the car via a new promotional video. The vehicle, which draws interior inspiration from the Nexon.ev, is anticipated to include a large floating touchscreen infotainment system, trapezoidal AC vents, touch-based climate control panel, and various other advanced features. The petrol and diesel versions are expected to be released later.

The Curvv EV's interior is set to feature a large, likely 12.3-inch, floating touchscreen infotainment system. Positioned below it are trapezoidal AC vents, complete with a touch-based climate control panel similar to that in the Nexon EV. A faux carbon-fibre finish on the dashboard, red ambient lighting, pillar-mounted tweeters, and an auto-dimming IRVM are among the additional features highlighted in the video.

The promotional video also shows that the Tata Curvv will come with a four-spoke steering wheel, featuring an illuminated logo and a two-tone finish similar to the Harrier and Safari models.



The steering wheel will also include touch controls for ADAS functions. The Curvv is expected to have a fully digital instrument cluster, likely measuring 10.25 inches.

Potential features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charger, connected car technology, ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, and voice assistance in multiple languages.

In terms of safety, the Curvv EV is expected to include multiple airbags, ESC, TCS, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, reverse parking sensors, blind spot monitor, and all four disc brakes. Considering Tata Motors’ history of good safety ratings, the Curvv is anticipated to score 5 stars for both adult and child occupant protection.

Rumors suggest the Curvv EV will be available with two battery pack options. The top-spec version is expected to have a 55 kWh battery pack paired with a single PMSM electric motor.

It is expected to offer a claimed range of up to 600 km on a single charge, along with DC fast charging capabilities. All official details will be revealed on August 7. The Curvv EV will directly compete with the upcoming Creta EV, as well as the MG ZS EV and the Mahindra XUV 400.

The internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the Curvv is expected to come with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit, with both manual and automatic transmission options.

The Curvv ICE will compete directly with the upcoming Citroen Basalt, and will also go up against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.
