Bengaluru-based Simple Energy launched its first electric scooter Simple One at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom) on Sunday.

Simple One offers 4 ride modes -- Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. It extracts power from a 4.5 kW motor and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2.95 seconds.

In Eco mode, the 4.8 kWh water-resistant IP67 battery offers a range up to 203 kilometers on a single charge. A home charger replenishes the battery to full in 2.75 hours.

Simple One is built on lightweight tubular chassis and is suspended over front telescopic forks and rear mono-shock. The e-scooter weighs 110 kilos and has an underseat storage of 30 litres.

Simple One will be available in four colour choices: Azure blue, grace white, brazen black, and Namma Red -- a colour dedicated to Karnataka.

Pre-bookings have commenced for Rs 1,947 through company website. The Bengaluru-based EV maker aims to expand business across India and plans to set up 300 charging stations by the end of 2021.
