The case pertains to Reliance NU, which participated in a tender, where it allegedly submitted a fake bank guarantee and endorsement. "Following the legal proceedings related to this matter, it is hereby notified that the debarment notice issued to M/s Reliance Power has been withdrawn, with immediate effect," SECI said in a notification on Tuesday.
"This withdrawal is without prejudice to SECI's right to take all actions in accordance with the law."
The state-owned renewable energy development agency, in a notification dated November 6, said it was discovered that Reliance NU BESS (then Maharashtra Energy Generation) had submitted a fake bank guarantee (issued by a foreign bank) against the earnest money deposit in a tender for a standalone battery energy storage system of 2000 MWh issued in June.
Following the discovery of the matter, it barred the Anil Ambani group company and all its subsidiaries from participating in its tenders for three years from the notice.
