Sagar Adani urges faster electrification, energy storage

Mumbai: Adani Green Energy (AGEL) Executive Director Sagar Adani Saturday called for faster electrification and greater deployment of renewable energy integrated with storage, saying the combination is critical to ensuring reliable, affordable and round-the-clock clean power while strengthening energy security and supporting economic growth.

Adani was speaking at the inaugural Adani Green Energy Dialogue during London Climate Action Week at the Science Museum. "Renewable energy reaches its full potential when paired with storage technologies such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs)," he said.

AGEL is advancing toward its target of 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
