Under the Supply and Purchase Agreement (SPA), RIL will supply green ammonia to Samsung C&T over a 15-year period starting in the second half of FY2029.

The deal underscores India’s ambition to become a major exporter of green fuels produced through a domestic clean-energy value chain aligned with the government’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
Anant Ambani, executive director at RIL, said the partnership represents an important milestone in India’s clean-energy transition.
“We are proud to partner with Samsung C&T to supply green ammonia that is cost-competitive and reliable,” Ambani said. “Partnerships such as this will help scale our green hydrogen ecosystem and gigafactories while contributing to India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives.”
RIL is developing an integrated new energy platform that spans renewable power generation, energy storage, green hydrogen production, and downstream green fuels and chemicals. The initiative also focuses on domestic manufacturing of key clean-energy technologies such as solar modules, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and electrolyser systems.
