NTPC Renewable Energy begins power supply from 270-MW unit of Gujarat solar project

NTPC Renewable Energy, a proud member of the NTPC Green Energy family, has officially commenced power generation from a robust 270-megawatt unit. This unit is a vital piece of a larger 1,200-megawatt solar venture flourishing in Gujarat.

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy on Tuesday said that its arm NTPC Renewable Energy has begun the supply of electricity from a 270-MW unit, which is part of a 1,200-MW solar PV project in Gujarat.

With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group will increase to 9,562.68 MW, a regulatory filing said.

"Third-party capacity of 270 MW out of 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd, is declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hrs of March 11, 2026," the filing said.
