Tata has confirmed that the electric version of the Curvv will be the first to hit the roads, followed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Production is slated to begin in April, and the model has already been seen testing in its final form. Patent images of the Curvv have now surfaced online, giving us a clear look at the design of the upcoming SUV.
The images confirm that the Curvv will closely resemble the concept version showcased earlier. It features a tall bumper with a wide air dam, taking inspiration from its larger siblings, the Harrier and Safari facelifts. Other notable design elements include a split grille setup, vertical headlamp units, a floating coupe-like roof, and stylish alloy wheels that have been retained from the concept version.
In terms of powertrain, the Curvv EV is expected to offer an impressive range of 400-500 km on a single charge, thanks to its larger battery pack. This is significantly higher than the Nexon EV, which has a 30.2 kWh battery pack. While the exact specifications have not been disclosed, there is a possibility that the Curvv EV will feature a dual-motor setup, enabling all-wheel drive capability for better performance on different terrains.
As for the ICE version, it is likely to be equipped with a turbo-petrol and a diesel engine. However, these are speculations and the actual specifications will be revealed closer to the official debut of the model. Once launched, the Curvv in its ICE variant will compete with popular SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
