MG India's Cyberster: All-Electric Sports Car with sprint pace of 0-100 Kph in 3.2 seconds
India's JSW Group and Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Motor-owned MG Motor India today unveiled the Cyberster, an all-electric convertible roadster, in India. The company claimed that the Cyberster can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

Commenting on the launch, Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group said that they want to launch one electric vehicle every 3-4 months. "The idea is to create a Maruti moment," Jindal said. MG Motor, a British brand owned by SAIC Motor, entered into a joint venture with the JSW Group. Jindal’s JSW Group hold 35 per cent of the company’s India operations.

MG Motor today displayed three new EVs - MG 4 EV Hatchback, alongside MG 5 and MG Cyberster.

The MG Cyberster presents a captivating appearance. Equipped with LED headlights and a lengthy bonnet. The strategic use of gloss black plastics cleverly conceals the car's bulk, creating an illusion of compactness. At the rear, arrow-shaped taillights add a unique touch to the design.

The Cyberster boasts electronically operated scissor doors, a feature typically associated with exclusive and high-priced supercars.

In the interior domain, the MG Cyberster has introduced four tilted screens. It has a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel which also has gear controls.

MG Cyberster: Features and Technology

MG Cyberster boasts LED lights, electrically operated doors, and a plethora of digital displays, including a central console for HVAC controls and battery data. The digital drivers' display, divided into three parts, encompasses essential vehicle functions, ensuring both safety and convenience.

MG Cyberster Performance

The MG Cyberster offers two drivetrain options internationally. The dual motor variant, equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, delivers a staggering 535 bhp and 725 Nm of torque to all four wheels, achieving 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds with an estimated range of 580 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the single motor variant, powered by a 64 kWh battery pack, produces 308 bhp and offers rear-wheel drive, boasting an estimated range of 520 km.

MG Cyberster Launch Date and Price

MG Cyberster is scheduled to be launched in international markets in mid-2024. The all-electric sports car is estimated to be priced around £50,000 (approximately Rs 53 lakh).
