MG Motor announces 100-year special editions of Comet, ZS EVs, & other models

MG Motor India has introduced the 100-year Special Edition variants of its well-liked models, Comet, Astor, Hector, and ZS EV in India. Although the models retain their specifications, features, dimensions, and performance, they receive some design modifications like the addition of an 'Evergreen' exterior with a starry black finished roof and dark elements throughout. The new edition takes inspiration from British racing history that extends over a century.

Other changes include the addition of a ‘100-Year Edition’ badging on the tailgate along with a blacked-out theme in interiors, ‘100-Year Edition’ logo also embroidered in the front headrests and an ‘Evergreen’ themed head unit with customizable widget colour.

When discussing the prices, the Comet EV Exclusive FC variant is priced at Rs 9.40 lakh, excluding showroom charges. In contrast, the ZS EV is priced at Rs 24.18 lakh, excluding showroom charges, for the Exclusive Plus trim. The Astor Sharp Pro and Hector Sharp Pro variants have price tags of Rs 14.81 and Rs 21.20 lakh respectively. Both prices are excluding showroom charges.


The Gloster has been excluded from this list, most likely because the model is scheduled to receive a facelift later this year. The manufacturer has also not indicated the quantity of these special edition models that will be accessible and the commencement date for deliveries.

In other developments, MG sold 4,485 units in India last month, experiencing a slight decrease of 1.45 percent from the 4,551 units sold in the same month last year.
