Mahindra unveils 'Electric XUV 3XO' with level 2 ADAS & premium features; deliveries from Feb 23
A day after launching the Mahindra XUV 7XO at Rs 13.66 lakh, Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday launched the electric version of its subcompact SUV, the XUV 3XO EV.

The model, priced at a starting range of Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom), will be offered in two variants--AX5 and AX7L--with deliveries scheduled to begin from February 23, 2026. The launch marks Mahindra’s push to extend its high-volume XUV 3XO brand into electric mobility, targeting urban buyers looking for a daily-use electric SUV.

The XUV 3XO EV is built on the same platform as the petrol and diesel XUV 3XO that was introduced in April 2024. The company said the ICE version has clocked close to 1.8 lakh sales so far. The electric version retains the same exterior design, cabin layout and core features, while replacing the internal combustion engine with an electric powertrain tuned for city driving. Mahindra said the EV is aimed at customers who primarily use their vehicles for intra-city commutes.

“The XUV 3XO rewrote the rules by bringing aspiration and accessibility together at scale. With the XUV 3XO EV, we are extending that winning proposition into electric mobility for customers who want an EV that simply fits their lives — day after day. The XUV 3XO EV has been engineered around real usage patterns, ensuring that it meets everyday mobility needs reliably,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

In the electric subcompact SUV space, the XUV 3XO EV will compete mainly with Tata Motors’ Nexon EV and Punch EV, which currently dominate volumes in the affordable EV segment. Within Mahindra’s own portfolio, the XUV400 EV sits as a larger and more premium alternative, priced higher than the XUV 3XO EV.
