Mahindra BE 6e vs Tata Curvv EV: The battle of coupe SUVs - price and features Comparison
Mahindra unveiled two electric SUVs, BE 6e and XEV 9e, competing with Tata Curvv EV. The XEV 9e, priced from Rs 21.9 lakh, boasts up to 656km range, advanced features, and premium interiors, challenging Curvv's affordability and versatility.
The XEV 9e's starting price is Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) for the base Pack One trim with a 59kWh battery. Deliveries begin in February 2025. Tata's Curvv EV offers two battery options (45kWh and 55kWh) across five variants, with prices ranging from Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
The XEV 9e measures 4,790mm long, 1,905mm wide, and 1,690mm tall, with a 2,775mm wheelbase and 207mm ground clearance. It offers 665 liters of boot space and 150 liters of frunk space. The Curvv EV is smaller, measuring 4,310mm long, 1,810mm wide, and 1,637mm tall, with a 2,560mm wheelbase and 190mm ground clearance. It has 500 liters of boot space.
Tata Curvv EV Inside, the XEV 9e boasts a triple 12.3-inch screen setup, Mahindra’s MAIA system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and a suite of features including a heads-up display and a 1,400W Harman Kardon sound system. The Curvv EV features a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 320W JBL sound system. Both offer advanced safety features like ADAS.
The XEV 9e offers 59kWh and 79kWh battery options. Mahindra claims a range of up to 656km (MIDC) for the 79kWh version. The Curvv EV offers a claimed range of up to 585km with its 55kWh battery. Both support fast charging. The 79kWh XEV 9e has a 286hp motor, while the 59kWh version has a 231hp motor. The Curvv EV uses a 167 hp motor.
