KPI Green Energy bags ₹2025 crore from NACOF Oorja for turnkey 500 MW/550 MWp solar power plant in Rajasthan

KPI Green Energy on Tuesday announced that it has received an order worth ₹2025 crore from NACOF Oorja for a turnkey 500 MW/550 MWp solar photovoltaic power project.

According to the statement released by the company, the project of 500 MW forms part of the 5,000 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Park being developed by NOPL at Dantoor village in Bikaner district of Rajasthan.

The release said the company will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the plant.

Wherein it must build the civic works, PV modules, module mounting structures, inverters, inverter transformers, HT switchgear and associated electrical systems, the 33 kV transmission line and evacuation bay, and SCADA and monitoring systems.

The company said the project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the handing over of the project site.

The order follows a previous 500 MW/550 MWp solar BOS package secured by the company from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited at Bikaner earlier this year and further solidified the company’s market presence in Rajasthan.

The full turnkey requirement of the project shows the company’s ability to execute utility-scale solar projects as its own EPC contractor.

The order would provide significant revenue to the company’s EPC order book and would provide good revenue prospects in the future.
