Jakson unit to invest Rs 8,000 cr in Madhya Pradesh solar plant

Jakson Engineers, part of Jakson Group, will invest over ₹8,000 crore to build a 6 GW integrated solar modules, cells and wafers plant in Madhya Pradesh, the company said on Tuesday. The company will start construction activities within 15 days.

The first 3 GW of solar modules and cell capacity will see an investment of around Rs 2,000 crore.

In the second phase, the company will bring 6 GW of solar wafers plant along with additional 3 GW modules and cells each at an investment of over ₹6,000 crore. The first batch of modules from the plant is expected to roll out by May 2026, followed by cells in September, the company said.
