InSolare completes 16 years: A journey of innovation, leadership, and sustainability

As InSolare Energy celebrates Founders’ Day, it’s not just a date on the calendar; rather, a reflection of a journey starting from humble beginnings to becoming one of India’s vital renewable energy companies. . What began in 2009 as a modest office in Bengaluru has today grown into a multi-city presence with offices in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai. This resilient journey has been built on the core values that continue to define the company: Respect, discipline, innovation, integrity, results, and quality.

Founded by Dr Sunit Tyagi and Dr Hemanshu Bhatt, two IIT Bombay alumni and globally respected technocrats, InSolare was born out of a simple but powerful idea: to harness solar energy and reduce India's dependence on fossil fuels. The founders infused InSolare with a unique blend of scientific excellence, business foresight, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.

In the early days, the InSolare team worked on modest rooftop, carport, and ground-mount projects, designing, executing, and fine-tuning systems that delivered clean energy. Each project, regardless of size, became a stepping stone—refining technical expertise, earning client trust, and strengthening the company’s resolve. Early collaborations with esteemed clients helped establish InSolare’s reputation for quality, innovation, and reliable execution. Landmark projects were pivotal in shaping the company’s journey and showcasing its engineering forte.


Today, InSolare has successfully delivered engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions to over 150 unique clients, spanning rooftop systems, ground mounts, solar carports, canal-top systems, microgrids, and floating solar plants. Serving public and private sectors, across rural and urban landscapes, and catering to industries of all scales, the company now proudly holds an EPC portfolio exceeding 1 GW—a testament to its sustained growth in the renewable energy space.

This remarkable growth has been guided by the visionary leadership of CEO Navashil Sharma, under whom InSolare has expanded its presence, enhanced operational efficiency, and embraced advanced technologies such as green hydrogen and battery energy storage. He leads business acquisition, financial planning, and stakeholder engagement. Supporting him is a dynamic leadership team:

• Col Gopal Samata, Director – HR & Operations, who oversees strategic planning, compliance, and human capital;
• Dipak Patel, Director – Technical, who drives engineering innovation and energy-efficient design; and
• Col Pravir Mishra, Chief Operating Officer, who brings process discipline and operational excellence across the value chain, together steering InSolare toward sustainable growth.
