The company is also looking to build cell manufacturing capacity of 4 GW by FY27 as part of its strategy to reduce imports and bolster India’s solar infrastructure, said Dholakiya, adding the company plans to hire 4,000 employees to support the expansion efforts.
He said the expansion will accelerate improvements in the company’s manufacturing processes, enhance production efficiency, and unlock new market opportunities in North, East and South India.
“Our goal is to drive solar technology forward while empowering industries and communities to adopt sustainable solutions that will shape the energy landscape for generations. This expansion allows us to strengthen our commitment to excellence, attract top talent, and accelerate India’s energy independence, aligning with the global movement toward a greener future,” said Dholakiya.
Goldi Solar currently operates an advanced manufacturing plant each in Pipodara and Navsari, Gujarat, with a combined capacity of 3 GW. Expansion of the module capacity is proposed at its new facility in Kosamba, Gujarat.
In FY24, Goldi Solar clocked a revenue of Rs 1,750 crore in FY24 with an order book of Rs 5,350 crore, including Rs 4,550 crore in module manufacturing and Rs 800 crore in EPC contracts.
