Former JSW Energy CFO Pritesh Vinay to helm Vayona Energy

Former JSW Energy CFO Pritesh Vinay will helm Vayona energy as chief executive officer, according to an official release

Siemens Gamesa’s onshore wind turbine manufacturing business in India and Sri Lanka was rebranded as Vayona Energy in December after US private equity firm TPG capital, along with members of the Murugappa group promoter family and Prashant Jain acquired the company.

Prashant Jain was previously chief executive officer of JSW Energy.


Vinay was instrumental in several acquisitions JSW Energy pursued to expand its renewable and conventional energy capacity including a Rs. 12,000 crore deal to acquire renewable energy company O2 Power.

His previous work experience includes stints with Goldman Sachs, Edelweiss and Aditya Birla Group.
