World leaders are meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan for the COP29 climate summit to discuss ways to address climate change. One of the key topics is the transition to renewable energy sources.

World leaders have gathered in Baku, Azerbaijan for the international climate summit COP29 (Conference of Parties) to push ahead measures to mitigate the impacts of climate change and a greener earth.

ET's Anoushka Sawhney takes a look at the numbers to see where India, which has set for itself target to transition to net zero by 2070, stands.

India has pushed the pedal on green energy. Renewables accounted for 34.5% of installed capacity in 2022-23.
