"Currently, we are installing around 11,000-12,000 rooftop solar projects per day. I am very confident and hopeful it will be in another month or so more than 15,000-16,000," Joshi said.
India added a record 55.3 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power capacity in FY26, of which around 16.4 GW was through distributed renewable energy including rooftop solar and solar pumps.
