Bounce Infinity electric scooter launches on December 2

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be available in two versions: with or without a battery pack, with a replaceable Li-ion battery available for a minimal fee if needed.

Bounce plans to launch its first consumer electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity, on December 2, 2021.

The 'Made in India' scooter can be booked for Rs 499 and deliveries are expected to commence in the first quarter of next year.

Bounce's electric scooter is produced at 22Motors' Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, plant, which it purchased earlier this year at about $7 million for complete ownership.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be available in two versions: with or without a battery pack, with a replaceable Li-ion battery available for a minimal fee if needed.

The business hopes to create a 'Battery as a Service' option, in which customers can purchase Bounce Infinity without the battery for a low price and use Bounce's battery-swapping network.

In this case, customers will only be charged for battery swaps if they replace an empty battery for a fully charged one from Bounce's swapping network.

Bounce also stated that its current factory has the potential to produce around 1.8 lakh scooters per year, with a second plant in southern India in the works.

As part of the deal with 22Motors, Bounce acquired its manufacturing plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and intellectual property. The state-of-the-art plant has a capacity to manufacture 180,000 scooters per year.
