Mumbai: Adani Group will enter the nuclear power business with plans to build 10 gigawatts (GW) of capacity by 2035, while raising its thermal power and data centre expansion targets, chairman Gautam Adani said on Wednesday, as the conglomerate outlined its next phase of investments at its annual general meeting.

The group will house the business under Adani Atomic Energy and has identified land for projects, Adani said, adding that the company is positioning itself to meet the country's growing demand for "clean, round-the-clock power."

India is seeking to expand nuclear generation as electricity demand rises and the government looks to diversify sources of low-carbon baseload power.

Adani Power will now target 45 GW of generation capacity by FY32, up from an earlier target of 42 GW, backed by a capital expenditure programme of more than ₹2 lakh crore. The group also raised its planned data centre capacity to 3 GW by 2030 from 2 GW announced earlier.

The announcements expand the conglomerate's investment plans beyond ports, airports and logistics into businesses expected to benefit from rising electricity demand, artificial intelligence-led computing and defence manufacturing.

Adani also announced a partnership with Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer, adding to an existing collaboration with Leonardo to develop aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), services and pilot training in India.

In digital infrastructure, Adani said the group has signed a binding agreement with Google for a gigawatt-scale data centre in Visakhapatnam and identified Meta, Microsoft, Uber and Flipkart as among companies expected to work with its digital infrastructure platform. "Infrastructure gives a nation muscle. Intelligence gives a nation mastery. Today, the two are inseparable," he said, explaining the group's investment strategy in this space.

The group invested more than ₹1.5 lakh crore in infrastructure during FY26. It reported revenue of ₹2.92 lakh crore, Ebitda of ₹94,834 crore and profit after tax of ₹46,376 crore.

The Adani group chairman also announced a partnership with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation to jointly develop 5 GW of hydropower projects and said the group would continue expanding its integrated infrastructure platform across energy, transport and digital assets.
