Jaquar group working on a white paper on smart living spaces

Sanitaryware and lighting solutions brand Jaquar Group will bring out a white paper in consultation with Indian architects, builders and interior designers on smart living homes focusing on sustainability, Rajesh Mehra, Promoter and Director, Jaquar Group said.

The company has conceived Design Confab, a deliberation platform for industry participants, that would be taken across multiple cities in 2018.

“We want to bring in best practices to the industry in terms of sustainability,” he said after the event in Ahmedabad. The theme for the Ahmedabad edition of Design Confab was ‘Rethinking traditional architecture with smart design’. The first edition happened in Pune last month.


“With increasing pressure to lower operating costs, making existing structures more efficient is a default mandate and therefore, we choose to deep dive on smart architecture design during our session here in Ahmedabad”, he added.

He said the capacity expansion on the company’s Gujarat sanitaryware facility will be over soon and by December 2018, the plant’s capacity would stand at 1.5 mn pieces per annum, a 70 per cent expansion.
