The company said the restructuring is aimed at sharpening investment priorities, improving collaboration across production, commissioning, acquisition and distribution, and strengthening its movies portfolio across theatrical, television and digital platforms.
The move is part of Zee’s broader effort to unlock greater value from its investments in films and adopt a more disciplined approach to capital allocation.
“We are bringing together creative conviction and commercial discipline to maximize the value of our investments in movies across platforms,” Goenka said, adding that Nahta’s understanding of the film ecosystem and industry relationships would help guide the business through its next phase of growth.
Nahta said the appointment felt like a “homecoming”, citing his decade-long association with Zee’s ETC channel as host of Bollywood Business.
