Announcing the partnership at an IIFA press conference, Gunjan Soni, Country Managing Director, YouTube India, said the collaboration would extend beyond the awards ceremony to include digital programming and creator collaborations across IIFA Week.
“The way we experience entertainment has changed. Today's fans don't just want a front-row seat; they want to be part of the cultural conversation. Premium entertainment is now a highly interactive, multi-format journey,” Soni said.
Soni said YouTube’s global reach and the growth of connected TV would help bring the awards to audiences worldwide.
“With YouTube's massive global footprint coupled with the rapid growth of Connected TV, we are bringing this cinematic celebration directly into living rooms and onto screens worldwide. There is no better platform to elevate the magic of IIFA, and we are thrilled to bring the IIFA Awards 2027 to a global audience with a worldwide stream on YouTube,” she said.
The partnership will include the YouTube Creator Collective at IIFA, bringing film stars and digital creators together for collaborations. ‘IIFA Uncut’ will feature digital watch parties and a Greenroom series, while the IIFA YouTube Creator Club will offer behind-the-scenes content featuring stars.
According to Soni, the partnership will bring together established film personalities and digital creators to build connections across generations.
