NEW DELHI: Web Portal, Yahoo India on Wednesday launched a new feature 'Indichat' in its instant messenger that would enable users to chat in Hindi and Tamil even without a language keyboard.
"Chat and e-mail are two of most important uses of Internet. Indichat allows you to chat with your friends in Hindi or other regional languages," Yahoo! India Managing Director George Zacharias said.
Internet is becoming increasingly popular and there is a big shift in the market towards providing Indian localised products, he said.
Yahoo Messenger users can access this feature by logging into the Side Panel plug-in. The company has also launched Indian Language audibles and a new version of yahoo mail, Yahoo Mail Beta.
The new version would include a easy-to-use interface, drag and drop e-mail organisation, message preview and integrated RSS reader.
