Wave Cinemas to expand operations in North India

Wave Cinemas, the multiplex arm of Wave Infratech, said it will expand operations in North India by increasing the no of seats to 12,411

LUCKNOW: Wave Cinemas, the multiplex arm of Wave Infratech, today said it will expand operations in North India by increasing the number of multiplex seats to 12,411 seats from existing 9,111 seats in the next six months.

"Wave Cinemas have eight operational cinemas consisting of 32 screens with capacity of 9,111 seats. In next six months, the multiplex operator will open multiplexes in Jammu, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Rudrapur," a release issued here said.

While Jammu and Meerut will have three screens each, Ghaziabad and Rudrapur will have four screens each consisting of overall addition of 3,300 seats in the next six months.

To offer modern and cutting edge viewing experience to people, Wave Cinemas is also installing 4K projectors in its cinemas in place 2K projectors giving high quality picture, it said.

These 4K projectors have already been installed at Noida, Raja Garden-Delhi and Lucknow multiplexes.

Wave Cinemas at selected venues is offering - -'Platinum Lounge', where personalised attention is given to viewers.

Currently, Wave Cinemas operates in Noida, Ghaziabad, Raja Garden-Delhi, Lucknow, Moradabad, Ludhiana, Haridwar and Chandigarh.
