Tata Sky on Monday launched its DTH satellite television service in Rajasthan and said it aimed to reach all villages in a phased manner.

JAIPUR: Tata Sky on Monday launched its DTH satellite television service in Rajasthan and said it aimed to reach all villages in a phased manner.

Around 47 million homes, in the country, have television sets but no access to satellite television, while other 40 millions homes are yet to acquire one, Tata Sky's head-consumer marketing Vikram Mehra told reporters here.

Tata sky offers 60 television channels at a monthly fee of Rs 200 along with a DTH equipment installed at a price of Rs 4,000, Mehra said.

The company launched its DTH service a month ago in 300 cities in the country, he said.
