Sony Pix signs film output deal with Warner Bros

MUMBAI: Sony Pix, the Hollywood movie channel from Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), has signed a multi-year content licensing deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

The deal will add franchise films like ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Matrix’, ‘Hangover’, ‘Conjuring’, ‘Final Destination’, ‘Oceans’ series as well as DC Comics characters films such as ‘Batman Vs Superman’, and ‘Wonder Woman’. The deal will also add critically acclaimed films like Shawshank Redemption, more to Sony Pix’ library.

Tushar Shah, EVP and Business Head, English Cluster, SPN, said. “SPN’s English Cluster aims to bring the best international content for its viewers. With the new Warner Bros. deal, Sony Pix will now also become the destination for biggest franchises in the genre.”
