Addressing a global audience at the WAVE Summit 2025, that included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and delegates from 90 countries, Ambani emphasised the strategic and economic importance of India's cultural sector.
“This is not just a cultural or creative opportunity — it is a strategic and economic opportunity as well,” Ambani said, pointing to the sector’s potential to drive entrepreneurship, create millions of jobs, and stimulate cross-sectoral growth.
Stating that India has become a front-ranking digital nation, he said the fusion of storytelling and digital technologies is unique to India.
By mastering these tools, India's super-talented young creators will rule the global entertainment industry with blockbusters, Ambani noted.
“With the fusion of our ancient storytelling heritage and modern tech, Indian creators can lead the global entertainment industry,” he added.
Ambani hailed WAVES as the beginning of a cultural movement, promising to make it the world’s premier entertainment platform — "one with an Indian soul and a global voice." He called for deeper global collaborations and pledged that India's stories, rooted in universal values and backed by next-gen technology, would help heal and unite a divided world.
“This is just the beginning. The best is yet to come,” Ambani concluded. “Let the stories flow. Let the waves rise," he said.
