NEW DELHI: The flick may turn out to be a dull drag, but a pharma company will now ensure that you dont fall off the multiplex seat.

Ranbaxy has tied up with PVR Cinemas to give free samples of its best-selling energy pill Revital along with the movie tickets that you buy at any of the latters 23 cinema halls across the country.

Revital, which accounts for 13% of Ranbaxys total revenues, is an over-the-counter (OTC) energiser pill sold at Rs 70 for a 10-tablet strip. PVR Cinemas is the countrys largest cinema chain with a footfall of around 15-16 lakh every week.

It is learnt that the two companies have been giving a two-tablet strip of Revital with every ticket at PVR Cinema for about three weeks now.

This is a perfect platform to promote a revitalising brand. However, Ranbaxy officials declined to respond to a query from ET.
