Pocket FM, Arka Mediaworks to launch new Baahubali audio series

Audio series platform Pocket FM has teamed up with Arka Mediaworks, the studio behind S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali films, to expand the blockbuster universe through an all-new original audio story.

Marking ten years of the Baahubali franchise, the project will feature a fresh narrative set in the world of Maahishmathi and unfold across 250 episodes in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The series is designed for long-time fans as well as new listeners, blending large-scale storytelling with Pocket FM’s audio format through high-quality voice acting, sound design, and music.


“Baahubali is a cultural milestone that inspired an entire generation. Bringing that legacy into audio is both an honour and a creative challenge,” said Rohan Nayak, cofounder and CEO of Pocket FM. He added that the partnership allows the team to craft a new storyline that lets audiences not just hear Maahishmathi but feel it.

Shobu Yarlagadda, cofounder of Arka Mediaworks, said the audio adaptation aligns with the studio’s long-term plan to grow the Baahubali universe. “The audio series comes from the same place as the films, a focus on rooted and engaging storytelling,” he said.

The collaboration strengthens Pocket FM’s push into large-scale adaptations of iconic Indian IPs. Following the success of Shaktimaan Returns, the Baahubali audio series is positioned as another step in shaping how fantasy franchises are reimagined for audio-first audiences.
