‘Not letting our jailors go on leave’: Netflix’s Monika Shergill confirms Lock Upp new season; Farah, Riteish stay on

Lock Upp is set to return with a new season on Netflix, Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content, Netflix India, announced at FICCI Frames 2026.

Shergill made the announcement while addressing Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan at the event, referring to the duo as the show's “jailors”.

“We are not letting our jailors go on leave,” Shergill said, signalling the return of Deshmukh and Khan for the upcoming Netflix season.


The announcement marks the next chapter for the reality format on Netflix, following its earlier seasons in India. Netflix has not yet announced the premiere date or revealed details about the contestants for the upcoming season.

Lock Upp’s Netflix return

The reality show revolves around contestants living together under confinement, with challenges, eliminations and audience participation forming part of the format.
