Online video streaming platform Netflix plans to hire up to 300 employees for its newly launched Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad, expanding its production innovation footprint in India and deepening its investment in the country’s animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) ecosystem, said a person close to the development.

In a recorded message, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos said India is one of the most dynamic storytelling markets in the world, with extraordinary creative voices, technical depth, and production scale.

"We're also encouraged by the strong national focus on the AVGC sector,” he said. “The Government of India’s emphasis on creating 2 million skilled jobs in this sector by 2030 signals confidence and optimism, and we are committed to supporting this vision.”
