Netflix, Hoichoi partner to expand Bengali content across multiple languages

Netflix and Hoichoi have partnered to bring the Bengali streaming platform’s upcoming series to Netflix in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu over the next two years, alongside their Bengali premieres on Hoichoi.

The deal also covers 14 existing Hoichoi titles, including Eken Sirji, Sampurna, Lajja, Madam Inspector, Mahanagar and Parineeta: A Love Story, across genres ranging from crime and detective dramas to horror and romance.

The first new series under the partnership, The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi, will premiere on November 6. The folklore horror show stars Jeetu Kamal, Solanki Roy and Paoli Dam.


The companies will also develop new series based on select Hoichoi originals, to be produced by Hoichoi Studios. Details of these adaptations have not yet been announced.

The partnership will make Hoichoi’s upcoming Bengali content available to Netflix subscribers in three additional Indian languages, expanding the reach of its shows beyond Bengali-speaking audiences.
