NE to launch Bangla channel in Tripura
The North East Television, the sole private satellite channel of the north east region, is launching its third venture, North East Bangla and FM radio station in Tripura.

GUWAHATI: The North East Television, the sole private satellite channel of the north east region, is launching its third venture, North East Bangla and FM radio station in Tripura.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will formally open the N E Bangla channel and the FM station 'Oh La Laa' at a function in Agartala on August seven, N E TV chairman cum managing director Manoranjana Singh said here on Friday.
Tripura governor D N Sahay will grace the occasion as chief guest.
N E Bangla will be the only channel of the North East to be telecast worldwide through statellite and would cater to the needs of the huge Bengali populace particularly in the region, she said.
Besides 'N E TV' which is multi lingual, the second entertainment channel called 'N E Hi Fi' is currently on air. 'Oh La Laa' is also on air in Guwahati.
Singh said 'Oh La Laa's next launch is scheduled on August 20 in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
