John Gonsalves, M S Yadav unanimously elected President, General Secretary of PTI Federation

BENGALURU: John Gonsalves and M S Yadav were today unanimously elected as President and General Secretary respectively of the Federation of PTI Employees Unions for the year 2015.

This is for the 19th successive year that the team of Yadav and Gonslaves have been elected to lead the PTI Federation. C Shankara Reddy was elected as the Vice President. Swapan Acharya and Jayantilal P Mistry were chosen as the Assistant General Secretaries of the Federation.

Ashwani Kumar Verma was elected Treasurer during the elections held here.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadav thanked the members for their role in taking forward the development of PTI and Federation.

"The trade union movement in the country is facing serious challenges and all members of the Federation and PTI family should stand united to thwart any effort to divide the trade union movement," he said.

Yadav, Gonslaves, Acharya along with T Suresh were elected to the Staff Council.

Gabriel P Fernandes, B G H Gautam and M G Verma were chosen as Executive Committee members from Western Region.

Pradeep Kumar Das, Atanu Pal and Tapesh Kumar Acharjee were elected to the executive committee from the Eastern Region.

P Nanda Kumar, N T. Balasubramani, P H Ravindranath became the executive members from Southern Region.

From the Northern Region, Veena Kumari, Ajay Tyagi, T V Sriram, Mehruddin, Arvind Kumar Singh, Sri Krishna were elected to the executive committee.

Kulbhushan Yadav was co-opted to the committee from the North.
